I have worked in a pizza parlor and am now a waitress while going to school. I made about 1.25 more than min wage at the time at the pizza place. I make min wage plus tips as a server and average about $28 an hour. Min wage is $8 and I bring home usually $100 in tips in a 4-5 hout shift. The pizza place was fun, but when I began waitressing and saw the $$ I quit quick. Our bussers get tiped out by us and mak min wage plus about $40 in tips on a good night. I like waitressing a lot, however there are dowfalls like with everyother job. Needy costomers that ip crappy is the worst! But like I said, I don't know any other job I can do for $28/hr (on average) until I am finished with school.
