What is the best way to care for modern no-stick frying pans?
My wife seems to think that all skillets need to be "seasoned" like Cast Iron cookware used to be. I'm pretty sure the care instructions that I've seen (but are not included with the commercial grade stuff we've been buying) have said to just wash no-stick pans well in hot water with a good dish soap, but, of course, not to use metal scouring pads or anything that might damage the surface. My wife seem to feel that those instructions mean that it's OK to just wash them, but it remains better to season them like she has always done. It seems to me that leaving any amount of oil, especially olive oil, would destroy the no-stick feature because it becomes very hard and sticky when it dries.
