Crescent Ridge Dairy Announces “create a Sundae” Contest
Last year Ice Cream fans helped Crescent Ridge Dairy create a new flavor during their “Create a Crescent Flavor” contest which commemorated their 75th anniversary. This year, the dairy will add the new and unique winning sundae to their Dairy Bar offerings. Crescent Ridge Dairy Bars are located 403 Bay Road in Sharon and 176 South Franklin Street (Route 37) in Holbrook.
Fans of Crescent Ridge Dairy’s rich and delicious ice cream now have an opportunity to concoct an ice cream sundae and give it a great name.
Have you heard of the Avalanche sundae? The creation of Crescent Ridge Dairy’s, Dan Harvey, the Avalanche is a mountain of six scoops of ice cream with an avalanche of toppings.
Entering the contest is easy. Simply visit the Crescent Ridge Dairy website at www.CrescentRidge.com and click on Cressie the cow to submit a sundae idea.
The winner receives recognition and a Crescent Ridge gift card for $100. All entries must be received by July 31, 2008.

Ice cream is a weakness of mine . . . I'm starting out with a large plate, several spoons, mint chip, cherry chocolate, and rich chocolate ice cream . . . sauce of . . . what ? If many share...it's not too fattening. Pot of mint tea off to the side . . . Taste of cold ice cream dessert, sip of hot mint tea . . . nice. What to add to sundae ?
Butterscotch sauce on vanilla or banana or butter toffee ice cream. Mint Fudge sauce on the mint chip. Crushed cherries on the rich chocolate. Add whipped cream on some of the ice cream, marshmallow whip on the rest. Sprinkle with Heath bar pieces. And chopped fresh roasted peanuts. Top with a maraschino cherry. Or two. Or three.
