Sardinia – Italy’s Treasure Island
The best beaches in Italy are found in Sardinia Island, as many travel experts would agree. Spaggia della Pelosa
Spaggia della Pelosa could be found northwest of Sardinia. The white sands of the beach are almost like flour in softness while the clear water is in shades of turquoise and blue. It could get crowded during the peak season and offers scenic views of the Piana Island and the Asinara national park across the beach.
Costa Smeralda Spiaggia del Principe (The Prince’s Beach)
Located in the northeastern tip of Sardinia Island, the Costa Smeralda is full of rock formations sculpted by the sea and the wind for centuries past. Also known as the Portu Li Coggi, Costa Smeralda waters give the impression of sparkling diamonds in the morning and afternoons. Boats and coves also dot the coastal area to add adventure to your Italian island getaway. What sets the Costa Smeralda apart from other equally beautiful beaches is its relative isolation from the city life.
Cala Luna
Cala Luna is another ideal Sardinia island holiday spot through the whole of Italy. It hosts one of the last coastal forests that could be found in Europe, as well as the usual feasts for the eyes in the form of pearly white beaches, grottos, limestone cliffs, oak and juniper forests, hidden coves, and huge nature-sculpted rocks. The name, Cala Luna, is derived from the beach’ crescent shape as it meets the crystalline waves.
Baia Chia
The coastline of Baia Chia is snakelike in shape accentuated by coves, cliffs, and watchtowers from the Spanish era. One popular beach spot in the area is the Spiaggia sa Colona, which promises the best beach holidays in Italy. The sands are white and fine and there are lagoons that serve as habitats to fascinating flamingoes. Spiaggia sa Colona overlooks the historic Phoenician-Punic city of Bithia. The 16th century Torre de Chia could also be found here.
Costa Verde-Iglesiente
Another good place to get your Sardinia island reservation is at Costa Verde, which is located south of Orisanto and northwest off the city of Cagliari. Touted as a mini-Sahara because of its magnificent sand dunes, Costa Verde-Iglesiente is home to beautiful beaches and mining villages surrounded by macchia forests. It overlooks the clearest waters and the most private beaches of Sardinia.

Even if someone gives you some information, I can tell you it will be different than what you think. I think Luna is so funny. She would be a good friend and we could wear different fruits in our ears. I always thought she should marry Neville when she grows up. What do you think? My favorite character was Sirius Black, and I was heart-broken when he died! But then I'm older than you -- I'm a grandmother!
I have visited Sorrento and think it is beautiful. I went there when I was 12 years old. My mother studied to be an opera singer and she made us very embarrassed by singing everywhere in Italy. She stood on the beach at Sorrento and sang "Torna a Surriento". In Firenze, she sang "O Mio Babbino Caro"! Is your mother so embarrassing? Have fun reading Harry Potter!
