Dinnerware colors. Need help deciding!!?
I have recently decided to purchase a nice dinnerware set. I am going with the Cucina Fresca collection. I have decided to go with the Sorbetto Lilac color but I want to pair it with either the chocolate brown or the white colors. I love the chocolate and lilac together but here's my dilemma. I have a chocolate brown table, I think it will be too much brown. We love to throw large dinner parties and serve gourmet dishes. I am thinking that seeing your food on a dark plate isn't very appetizing.
Does anyone out there have brown plates? How does the food look on the dark plates? I know that seeing food on a white plate always looks clean and nice. Any input is appreciated.
My sister is a food photographer and they almost always use white or light colored plates because the food does look more appealing on them. When the table is just set without food on the plates, I love how the dark plates look (even against dark wood) but the reality is, you will be eating off of them and white is subconsciously cleaner and brings out the colors in the food. That's my opinion. I'd go with white if it were me.
