How do you clean the bottom if the pan is burnt? Is it safe to use if steel wool does'nt remove discoloration?
I steamed vegetables in a Farberware Stainless Steel pot and forgot about them - the water cooked off and by the time I discovered it, the pan was burned on the inside bottom. Steel wool would not remove all the discoloration - is it safe to use? Can I clean off the discoloration, or will it not affect the food? Thanks!
put boiling water in the pan and a dryer sheet let it soak for at least an hour but i let mine soak for more like 3 the burnt stuff should just wipe right out.btw steel wool is a bad idea it scratches the finish of most pans
