If all else fails, commission someone to make the topper out of marzipan for you. Marzipan has been used for specialty confectionery like this since the Middle Ages, at least -- maybe before.
There are loads of hobbyist cake decorators who might be thrilled to take the commission -- contact a local group, or ask through your favorite fancy bakery, a vocational/hospitality school, or even a craft shop, for a referral or two.
Assuming it's the two deer heads that are the topper (not the whole piece, with bark, leaves, and log section), the design isn't too difficult to re-create -- the trickiest part would be the antlers.
If you want to keep the topper for re-use or for display, then maybe see if someone can make one for you out of Sculpey or Fimo polymer clay, instead.
How soon would you need it? The marzipan, in particular, needs quite a bit of drying time.
