What made the Air France flight 447 go down?
Air France is insisting that the jet 'broke apart' while in air. Doesn't this sound complete ridiculous to anyone else but me? If planes just fell apart do you think people would fly as much as they do? Be serious Air France, what was it?
I actually mentioned to a friend, before it was mentioned in the news, that the pitot tubes (speed sensors) may have been misread by the pilots. If the tubes were blocked, this may have told the pilots that the plane was going slower than it actually was, causing the pilots to increase the speed to the point where the plane just breaks apart. Or the opposite could've happened where the pilots decreased the speed to a point of it stalling. I'm really hoping they find this black box.
