Durability and Design is Key to Catering Crockery
The term crockery refers to the vessels used to serve and eat food from which are typically made of china but not always. It includes plates, saucers, bowls, dessert dishes, mugs, cups and serving dishes. Serving dishes include gravy boats, platters, relish dishes and other vessels used for carrying out and serving food from. Crockery can be purchased as crockery sets or as individual items.

Churchill China produces both home and commercial crockery. Their ranges include Super Vitrified, Art de Cuisine and Alchemy. Olympia Porcelain is a relative newcomer on the catering crockery market. It offers affordability and durability together. The range includes whiteware, coloured crockery and embossed crockery.
The definition of crockery can also include items made out of other materials including melamine and polycarbonate. Some argue the definition does not include those items made of synthetic materials, but they perform the same function as crockery, so for all intents and purposes, are crockery. Kristallon do excellent ranges in both melamine crockery and polycarbonate crockery and are available from Nisbets.
