The most apparent feature of HTC Touch smart phones is their simple and straight design. The silver-colored edge makes the HTC Touch fit in perfectly to HTC's current mobile phone line. The Touch handset only carries a couple of buttons which makes it look very neat and well-organized. There are buttons for turning the phone on and off, answering and finishing a call, increasing and decreasing the volume, and a button functioning as self-timer for the digital camera and a selection button is available. On the back we find the camera lens. Above the lens, a mirror is placed to enable taking a self-portrait. The touch screen dominates the looks of the cell phone. Every function can be handled through this screen.
Touch smart phone is cool and makes you feel modern. Even if you struggle with typing sometimes but the way modern OS's get designed most of the time, you don't need to type a lot to get simple things done. When you watch someone just sliding photos in a gallery or forwarding a movie by touching the slider, then it really feels like something advanced than traditional push of the keys.
Gestures are something out of the world and unmatched pro about touch screen and while non-touch phone may try to compete with various key combination's to perform similar feel, but still that will leave room for improving and will depend on level of expertise one achieves with HW QWERTY.

What's the secret to the one magic trick on the ipod touch called card trick?
The one where there are like six cards and you touch one card and remember that card then flip over the other cards, and then the person looks at all the cards and can guess which one it is. I don't have an ipod touch but my friend does and he did the trick to me and he won't tell me how to do it. so if you could please tell me if you know that would be most appreciated! Thanks!
I haven't seen that card trick, but maybe, when you touch the card you chose, the ipod somehow tells him what card you chose, thats the only logical explanation, otherwise it would be impossible.
Several ways the ipod could do this.
The ipod could make it that the card you chose is in a certain position every time, e.g, 2nd card to the right or something.
OR
That card could be upside down, as in, an ace of spades can be upside down (you can tell by the middle picture) but an ace of diamonds can't be upside down. Therefore the 6 cards are cards that can be flipped, and one of the cards is 'upside down' and thats your card
These are just guesses, my suggestion is to bribe your friend into telling you

Touch Phone and Its Touchscreen Types by ATV
Touch phones are becoming part of our lives more and more each day. This is because the touch screen control method allows a device to be navigated much more easily, quickly and intuitively, since you can activate given applications by touch, rather than having to press a button multiple times (e.g. the D-pad). There are a few different types of technology that can be used to achieve this control method, each of them having its pros and cons.
Three types of technologies are used for the manufacturing of mass touch phones: resistive, capacitive and infrared.
Resistive (Pressure sensitive) touch phones are the most widely used touch screen scheme for the production of mobile phones. It is most common in the Windows Mobile Professional phones. It is resistant to water and dust, but it is easily scratched and cannot be used with sharp objects. It is represented by three types: 4-wire, 5-wire and 8-wire, with the second one being the most used. In contrast to the other types, it is composed of three layers rather than two, with the additional layer ensuring greater durability and a much longer life (35 million clicks, instead of 1 million), without impacting the price. This type of technology works according to the following method: there are small plastic dots (spacer dots) between the two layers, which prevent them from touching if there
