Josiah Spode, founder of the famous factory, was born on 23rd March 1733 in a village that is now part of Stoke-on-Trent in Staffordshire, nicknamed the Potteries. By the time Josiah Spode was seven years old, because the family were so poor, his father died had to be buried in a pauper's grave. Messrs Spode were succeeded in the <a href="http://www.chinatraders.com">Spode<a/> business in c. 1833 by Copeland and Garrett, who often used the name Spode in their marks. Lenox was the first company to develop a bridal registry. When selecting tableware for your house, you have a number of choices: earthenware, stoneware, and porcelain. Among porcelain products, you've got basic porcelain, fine china and bone china. Many well appointed homes stock at least one, if not a combination of two or more of these options. In fact, one of the oldest standing customs for a bride and groom is registering for a china pattern.

Portmeirion Botanic Garden Centerpiece Bowl, if you know where to get it, please please I need your help!?
Okay, so I need this bowl. It's a replacement for one that I, being a total idiot, broke, and now I need need need to find it again as a replacement for my Mom. If you know where to find it online or in a store I would be so insanely thankful that I can't even describe it. I'm googleing right now, but if you have any knowledge of where to get it please please say!

Town information- The petite, coastal town of Porthmadog - Gwynedd with its estimated population of 4187 inhabitants is located in the Eifionydd region of Wales in the Sovereign State of the United Kingdom. The first documented reference to Porthmadog was in 1830 with the opening of Festiniog Railway, however the area came into existence somewhere in the 1810's when a seawall was built for agricultural purposes. The area is renown for its high percentage Welsh speakers and strong cultural ties. The town lies a mere 8 miles from Beddgelert, 20 miles from Caernarfon and 11 miles from Harlech.
Beach- Black Rock Sands beach located on the towns' outskirts with exquisite views of Cardigan Bay, is any holiday makers dream sandy spot. Access to the beach is a mere step away from your vehicle, making it super convenient for senior as well as disabled visitors. The clean, quiet beach makes relaxation and rest so effortless. Beach games and water sports are also rive.
Museums- The Maritime Museum located on the towns' harbour. Exhibits some of the most interesting and richly historical artefacts you are likely to find in town.
Castles- Criccieth Castle is probably the best-known and most prominent landmark in the whole of Northern Wales. The Castle originally served as a stronghold for princess Criccieth from which its name is derived during the 1230 and 1240. Kind Edward I annexed the Castle in 1283 and immediately made changes to the interior and exterior in an attempt to refortify the building.
Neighbouring Villages- If an Italian village outside Italy is you cup of tea, you will love a visit to Portmeirion, located a mere two miles from Porthmadog city centre on the coast of Snowdonia. Designed by architect Clough Williams- Ellis between 1926 and 1972, the village is set primarly in a botanical garden style.
