Medisim Receives Second U.S. Patent for Digital Temple Touch Thermometers
Medisim Inc., a global leader in diagnostic tools for temperature measurement and other devices that help medical professionals meet contemporary clinical challenges, announced today that it has been awarded a U.S. patent for "Non-Invasive Temperature Measurement” technology.
The U.S. patent covers a unique technology to allow for non-invasive measurement of core body temperature using conduction rather than infra-red (IR) technology. IR technology has shown to have several disadvantages, which Medisim's unique technology overcomes. The company’s digital temple thermometers, known as Temple Touch Thermometers, accurately measure body heat using state-of-the-art technology to track heat flow generated from blood vessels to the skin's surface, and converts this measurement to body temperature.
Medisim makes the world’s only patented, non-invasive, temple thermometers that do not use IR technology, and the instruments are so groundbreaking that they have created a new category in body temperature measurement called “conductive forehead thermometers.”

How do I calibrate an Acu-Rite Wireless Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer and a Springfield Precise Temp Thermometer?
I have an incubator project, and I have two thermometers as a check between them. But they're going like 4+ degrees off of one another!
They're both digital and have no visible probes, so I don't know how to calibrate them. Right now I dunked one in snow, and am waiting for it to reach 32 degrees. Is this right?

Water will freeze and water will boil at a different temp. with altitude. So, I guess a non liquid thermometer would be best. The way is to get the things to standard temp. and pressure. STP. Only a metallic thermometer will work. This thermometer must must be a STP. Snow is never at 32 degrees because there is a triple point when water is neither liquid solid or vapor. That is a very strange thing about water. So many factors must be taken into consideration, that you can't really get the right temp. over a long period of time.
