ExtractMoJoTM Selected for Gold Cup Programs by the SCAA and SCAE
ACTON, MA--(Marketwire - October 22, 2009) - The George Howell Coffee Company("GHCC"), a leading provider of specialty coffees based near Boston, today announced the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) and the Specialty Coffee Association of Europe (SCAE) have licensed their universal brewing control solution, called ExtractMoJo™, to update their Gold Cup Programs and related equipment for educational training to their membership. "We're pleased to announce the SCAE has gone live with the coffee digital refractometer and ExtractMoJo system as of the Brewmaster course held at SCAE headquarters in October," said Paul Stack, SCAE Gold Cup Programme Leader. "The SCAA is proud to use the ExtractMoJo system as one of the tools for brewing better coffee, and have been selling a specially packaged version made exclusively for us by GHCC since April of 2009. ExtractMoJo for espresso will be on display during the HOST event in La Marzocco's Out of the Box location: Artmouse, located in Via Volterra, 12 www.artmouse.it this week in Milano. ExtractMoJo™ now includes full espresso functionality, and a new Espresso Refractometer.

A simple game to play is to take two words of the same length and try to form a chain of words between them. For two words to be adjacent in the chain, they must differ in exactly one letter. For example, consider forming a chain between two seven letter words booster and roasted. A possible chain for going from booster to roasted is as follows:

I think it's going to be tough to get a good answer on this. There's a risk that some idiot will post a solution for you, which would destroy the value of the assignment.
But I'll throw an idea your way. Think about a combination lock of the sort found on a suitcase. Usually they have four numbers, but let's try one with (for example) five letters. Couldn't you write a recursive function that generates all possible combinations of five letters? Try it. Maybe five is too many, but try just 2 letters, and then maybe 3. Don't use for-loops, use recursion. Once you've written that program, it wouldn't be too difficult to start modifying it toward your goal. Maybe add a check to see which combinations of letters are in the dictionary.
This'll get you started, and hopefully you'll start to see how this will come together. It might even be fun.
