Santa Claus's flying altitude is restricted?
I heard some city restrict flying altitude except for Santa Claus. Please tell me a city having such a law.
Cities have no authority over airspace. Only the FAA or the equivalent government authority in other countries can impose altitude/airspace restrictions. General Clause, Santa has an unlimited International wavier that grants him immunity from all airspace restrictions (including, but not limited to TFRs, MOAs, and all Class Airspaces A thru E). This wavier covers altitude, speed, take-off and landing restrictions, noise abatement, and transportation of cargo and animals. However, his wavier is only valid from 2100 -2400 hrs on 25 Dec. and is automatically renewed yearly. In addition, Gen. Clause is also provided flight following and fighter escort to any location in the world.
How would never introducing a child to Santa Claus affect him?
Since Santa Claus is such a big part of American culture, what do you think the effect would be on a child who was told from the start that Santa isn't real?
I told my sons that Santa wasn't real from the beginning. I didn't want to lie to them and wanted them to know the real meaning of Christmas. We (my husband and I) explained that Santa is a fun part of Christmas but he isn't real. He's just a guy that likes to dress up and pretend like they do for Halloween. They understood that and aren't scarred or upset by it at all. They still have fun pretending along with Santa but we won't be telling them later, "You know how we said Santa was real? Well, we lied. He's a big fake." How do you think they'd react if we tried to say then, "But Jesus is really real. Seriously, have we ever lied to you? Oh, wait. We did."
