His story of life is also very inspirational as Tyson had started his cooking career as a dishwasher in some Japanese restaurant. At this restaurant,Tyson Cole was given the opportunity of preparing Sushi. It was in the year 2003 that Tyson Cole opened the gorgeous Uchi restaurant. It's a 95-seat restaurant which spans on 2600 square feet. Tyson Cole himself has been awarded as the Best New Chef in 2005 by the famous food and wine magazine.
Uchi means "house" and so Uchi Austin was refurbished in old home with a vibrant design and it shows the Japanese tradition with extensive variety of Japanese food with new flavors and influences. The chief mantra behind the Uchi's culinary art is that it uses local seasonal ingredients along with the combination of seafood from around the globe. In this way the traditional Japanese food recipe is flavoured with the new refreshing flavors and textures.

The plans for this new Uchi restaurant is that it will be located at 4200 Lamar. The new Uchiko restaurant may also occupy a portion of the area which was formerly known as the Seton Hospital Office Building which is again at 4200 N. Lamar. Till now Tyson Cole plans to open Uchiko during the springs or summers of 2010. Sources say that this new Uchiko will be having an eatery of entirely new style which will be combining the Japanese and Basque cuisines along with the Spanish cuisine.

Uchi Austin has served for around six years in Austin. People have adored this restaurant both in terms of its food and services. Such a big appreciation has encouraged Tyson and his restaurant to take a forward step. By opening a new Uchiko in the coming time, Uchi Austin will reach new heights. The specialty of the Sushi served here at Uchi Austin is that it is a perfect melt-in-mouth types. The Sushi food served here has sufficient amount of wasabi. The environment of Uchi Austin is not at all pretentious. A lot number of chefs and cooks are always working inside the Uchi's kitchen which make you reach to the conclusion that why you get your ordered dishes so quickly but with care.Uchi Austin is a welcome relief from most of the pretentious American Sushi restaurants which are spread here and there across the whole country.

Does raw oysters, sushi, sashimi, and poke contain parasites?

I know that eating raw oysters are very popular in the US, Asia, and Mexico but doesnt it contain parasites? I also love sushi, sashimi, and poke but how can I reassure that they are safe to eat at the restaurant? Is there a special equipment or fridge that I should look out for next to the sushi chef because the chef always prepare the food in front of you. Thanks

There are two things, parasites and mercury.

The levels of mercury in the ocean have made it so that you don't want to live on fish alone. The amount that most people eat shouldn't really be a problem.
Parasites are always a risk. Not a very big one though. I eat sushi with glee often and have never had a problem. I would stick with a place that has been around a while, keeps a clean house (store), and has a good reputation. Your bodies immune system can handle the rest.
