The salesman was good, and I am really excited. Then came the price. I bought cars less than that! I started looking for the same brand auction sites and found 1 / 2 the price, but still very expensive.I was Townecraft home demonstation, and I thought it was wonderful. I went to the kitchen waterless land and decided to shoot the MAX 9. It took 2 months will be, but the pans are very easy to clean, good quality, and it is difficult to keep the food moist. Waterless cooking, however, that once patience, and you are likely to burn a few meals, if you hold the time guidelines in the book. I've had them for about two monts now, and finally got rid of all the old and rusty, non-stick pans, they are not coming back. MAX 9 is almost as good, and it will not kill the budget.
Already cooked Townecraft pans before and you will not see enough difference to justify 6-8 times the price. As Zig Ziglar says, 'It is easier to justify the cost once, I'm sorry, as the quality forever' The price is more what you pay for Walmart, but the cost over a lifetime will be much, much lower, because it will not be re-pans. Just got my 17 pc Maxam waterless cooking two days ago, the first and the food cooked in them today. There was a brown hard time believing that meat without oil and water will work, but I followed the book's advice and kept the temperature down to medium-high and saut? the meat until I could move it to the original 'stuck' position and then added the vegetables, then cover the dome and lowered the heat, as instructed, and then kept the dome of the recommended low-temperature time directed wow, I was surprised.
Have decided to cook Braised Pork with cabbage and fried potatoes to cook 'healthy meat and potatoes' Charles and David Knight.The pork was so tender and very lean and vegetables? Great taste. Very little fat foods, no salt added some other spices. I can not wait to use it in the kitchen again. Sanitation was a breeze . I really think that those who can not be evaluated without cooking water, do not give him another chance to follow the instructions below. Really need to be cooked at low heat to avoid burns and the messy cleanup. I'll keep these rooms, but plans to get rid of all my other dishes, I have collected over the years. It cost me less in the kitchen, the 600 million dollars more I spent the Professional Circulo set a few years ago.

Help with cookware please help?
I really need to buy some new cookware Fry Pan or Saute Pan to be exact and I don't really want to buy anything with a teflon non-stick coating because of the dangers the EPA/FDA have noted associated with using it. So I guess I am thinking Cast Iron or stainless steel or something else. Can someone please give me the pros and cons of all these types pans and others and which brands are good to buy please.
Here's the skinny:
cast Iron is wonderful. It's great for holding heat, and is a wonderful vessel for cooking meat. EVERY kitchen should have at least one cast Iron Skillet. If nothing else, you will never get a better cornbread than in cast iron. cast Iron is not a great vessel if you expect to deglaze though. A big downside of it is if you tend to cook acidic foods a lot, then it is not your best choice as the acids can deteriorate the seasoning and cause rust to the skillet.
Stainless steel is fantastic cookware. For home use I would recommend a clad pan. I know you've seen them before. they are the ones that have the thick part that looks like it is attached to the bottom. With a gas stove it is less important, but the clad base helps distribute heat more evenly.
Stainless steel is what you will use more often in making a roux or even most gravies or sauces.
as for price? With cast Iron I would go with Lodge cookware. It is a reasonable price, and is honestly better quality. I have a set of williams senoma skillets, but I rarely use them. The Lodge is heavier, has fewer hot spots, and holds heat much better.
When you start dealing with stainless steel, it doesn't really matter much. I have a set of Betty Crocker cookware I got at walmart that is every bit as good as the famous-chef set that it replaced. What you want to look for here is a solid design. the metal will be almost identical between brands, but the handles and lids may differ.
With both types, the general rule is:
if it feels heavier than it looks like it should, then it is better quality.
A thin light pan is nice, but it rarely heats evenly.
