Types and Variants of Sushi Rolls
One of the most popular types of sushi is the sushi roll. Japanese and American restaurants serve two types of sushi to their patrons.
Sushi rolls served with seaweed or nori outside are one variant. The second type has nori inside the roll.
Whether or not the nori is on the outside or inside of the roll can dramatically change the flavor and texture of the sushi. Seaweed on outside of sushi rolls is more preferred by nori lovers.
This kind of sushi rolls is known as futomaki. Sushi rolls that have nori inside them are called uramaki. People who like sushi prefer futomaki as it is more popular and traditional compared to the other form.
A sushi restaurant or sushi bar, even a grocery store, would supply you the futomaki variant. Even though futomaki is vegetarian it is served with toppings of fish eggs.
Generally futomaki is cut into pieces and then served. However, on certain Japanese festivals it is offered as a roll. Since Japanese prefer to eat with their fingers, uramaki is not a preferred choice. Uramaki is sticky and difficult to eat with fingers or chopsticks. On top of that it falls apart under pressure.
Unlike futomaki, an uramaki sushi roll is almost always non vegetarian, with fish eggs or sesame as a coating on the top of the roll. Uramaki has primarily originated in North America since its natives are not fond of coating on futomaki.
Hosomaki stands out in the entire sushi rolls family. As with futomaki, hosomaki is served with seaweed on the outside of sushi rolls.
Hosomaki has four variants known as Kappamaki, Tekkamaki, Negitoromaki and Tsunamayomaki.
• Kappamaki cleanses the palette of raw fish dishes and its servings as its primary ingredient is cucumber.
• Sushi rolls of tekkamaki variety has tuna fish in them, and is named as such.
• Negitoromaki is filled with tuna and scallions. Fatty tuna is commonly used in this type of sushi roll.
• Lastly Tsunamayomaki has canned tuna and mayonnaise in it. This is called a domestic version of sushi that can easily be prepared at home.

Where can I find the green shingle covering on old tobacco barns?
I have an old tobacco barn, and most of the green shingle material has fell off. I would like to know if anyone knows what this material is called, and where I could by some more. It is about 2 foot wide and looks like it would come in long rolls. The texture of it is just like the texture of shingles. Any help would be appreciated.

That sounds like a colored roll roofing. I've worked with roll roofing, but have never seen colored roll roofing. I thought they normally used 3-in-1 shingles or T-lock shingles on those old tobacco barns.
